What chemical liquid filters housing can remove color and smell?
Activated carbon filter housing pressure vessel is a kind of equipment containing activated carbon. The work of activated carbon filter is to remove color, smell, odor, chlorine, organic matter and heavy metals through the strong physical adsorption capacity of carbon bed. It has powerful function. Water passes through the carbon bed, and organic pollutants in water are effectively adsorbed by activated carbon. In addition, there is some oxygen on the amorphous part of the activated carbon surface, so that the organic pollutants in the water passing through the carbon bed can be effectively adsorbed by the activated carbon. Activated carbon filter is commonly used water treatment equipment. As the pre-treatment of water treatment desalination system, it can effectively ensure the service life of subsequent equipment, improve effluent quality and prevent pollution, especially the free residual oxygen poisoning pollution of subsequent reverse osmosis membrane and ion exchange resin.
The main factors affecting the adsorption effect and service life of activated carbon filter housing are: the type and concentration of pollutants, the residence time of air flow in the filter material, the temperature and humidity of air. In actual selection, the filter form and activated carbon type shall be determined according to the type, concentration and treatment air volume of pollutants. The upstream and downstream of activated carbon filter shall be equipped with good dust removal filter, and its efficiency specification shall not be lower than F7. The upstream filter prevents dust from blocking the activated carbon material; the downstream filter blocks the dust generated by the activated carbon itself.
Activated carbon filter housing uses granular activated carbon to further remove the residual chlorine, organic matter and suspended matter impurities in the effluent of mechanical filter, so as to provide good conditions for subsequent reverse osmosis treatment. Activated carbon filter mainly uses activated carbon organic flocs with high carbon content, large molecular weight and large specific surface area to physically adsorb impurities in water to meet the water quality requirements. When water flows through the pores of activated carbon, various suspended particles and organic matter are adsorbed in the pores of activated carbon under the action of van der Waals force; At the same time, the chlorine (hypochlorous acid) adsorbed on the activated carbon surface reacts chemically on the carbon surface and is reduced to chloride ions, so as to effectively remove the chlorine and ensure that the residual chlorine in the effluent is less than 0.1ppm, meeting the operating conditions of RO membrane. With the passage of time, the entrapment in the pores of activated carbon and between particles gradually increases, which increases the pressure difference between the front and rear of the filter until it fails. Under normal circumstances, according to the pressure difference between the front and back of the filter, the filter material is backwashed by reverse water flow, so that most of the intercepts adsorbed in the pores of activated carbon are stripped and taken away by water flow to restore the adsorption function; When the activated carbon reaches the saturated adsorption capacity and completely fails, the activated carbon shall be regenerated or replaced to meet the engineering requirements.
